It’s no secret that Daft Punk are a key source of inspiration for many of my projects, so when they announced that their new album would be released on May 21, 2013, I knew it would be a busy and inspired day. I will be filming original videos with Jacob Krupnick for all 13 new tracks off the album in the AM, editing them early afternoon, and presenting them in 360* at this Random Access Memories Party @8PM that night. #Majestic

I’m working on a new creation for Harlem Dance Club about a group of stars that are frozen at the edges of the universe. One day they are awoken by the sounds of…
Daft Punk only released 13 seconds of new music, and already I have a concept starting point and costume design direction for a new creation.
It will be the first piece by Harlem Dance Club.
Nothing can describe the excitement and how proud I am of my friend Jane LaFarge Hamill. I cannot wait to see these paintings and everyone in NYC should stop by the gallery this month.

Bought this shirt on 125 for $15. It says, “I’m 2 blessed to be stressed.” #mantra
In 1994 I purchased Notorious B.I.G.’s “Ready to Die.” At the time, rap music was taboo in my household. According to dad, the language and violence associated with the genre was not appropriate for me or my younger brother. “Do you know what ‘pimp’ means??” he asked me in the car one day when I insisted we listen to Wild 107.7 - flabbergasted by artists’ use of the word. If I wanted to listen to Big Poppa, it was a clandestine ordeal of locking the bathroom door and sitting with the stereo on the tile floor with my ear to the speaker.
So when I walk into Chipotle yesterday and I hear that notorious track from my youth, I think, “This must be the original Isley Brothers jam Between the Sheets.” I was wrong. Big Poppa is on the Chipotle playlist. Out in the open for everyone to hear. I was secretly scandalized. With all the sexual innuendos and drug/weapon references of that song, I had never pictured that “Believe me sweety I got enough to feed the needy” might be a clever tie in for burritos.
